INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUE

Stay fresh for Stay fresh for Spring Soccer! Practice on the 1st day and the other days we’ll play games in a fun, recreational atmosphere. Each child will have equal playing time. All ages and grades will play 5 kids and a goalie. Teams are formed according to age/grade. Games are played on Saturdays by the hour. (One game will be played during the week, T.B.A.) Volunteer coaches are necessary. Possibility of combining 4Y-5Y with Kindergarten and 1st Grade with 2nd Grade. No games March 31, 2012. Program time: 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

*Time frames are estimated and could change based on number of teams in the league.The Prospect Heights Park District in cooperation with the Wheeling Park District, is providing a structured soccer league.  This league will provide a fun and exciting experience for children while developing skills.  All players learn in an atmosphere where teamwork and sportsmanship are stressed. 

CO-ED SOCCER LEAGUE

Games for grades K-4 will be played on Saturday afternoons, beginning April 14, 2011.
Games for grades 5–8 will be played on Sunday afternoons, beginning April 15, 2011.

Games will be played in Northbrook and Wheeling High School Turf Field.

Team Formation, Practices and Games. Teams are formed by park district staff and are based on volunteer coaches, school locations, and mutual friendship requests.  Practices take place once a week for one (1) hour for WWK division through grade 4.  Grades 5-8 may have practices twice a week for one (1) hour, depending on the coach.  Mutual Friendship request: Friendship requests can be submitted in grades K-2.  In order for a request to be valid, two mutual requests must be received.

Uniforms: All players new to the program must purchase a league uniform to participate in the program.  Level WWK, 1, and 2: Reversible jersey (blue and gold) available for purchase at the Gary Morava Center for $18 (not included in the registration fee) If a player already has one, purchase is not necessary.  Level 3 and 4: Full Uniform (Blue shirt with black socks and shorts available at Wheeling Park District). If a player already has one, purchase is not necessary. 

Other Information: A parent manual will be available at the time you register. Parent meeting is on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
