A volunteer-coached program introduces the fundamentals focusing on passing, shooting, offense, defense, sportsmanship, and fun.
Team/coach/players/car pool requests are NOT guaranteed, in order to better balance teams. One Parent is required to be PAYS certified. Need to complete Youth Athletic Registration Form....include child's height, school and skill level and Emergency Contact Form.... Practices vary with coach's availability and Emergency Contact Form. Typically, M-F between 5-9 PM at a Dist. 23 school and the Gary Morava Recreation Center.
The games are held on Saturdays at school districts 21, 26 & Gary Morava Recreation Center. Actual times depend on # of teams within the league. The fee includes uniforms and are distributed by the coach before the first game. Any registrations taken after the deadline will go on a waitlist and names will be taken off the waitlist if spots are available. Volunteer head coaches (1 per team) will receive a portion of their child's registration fee back at the conclusion of the season when equipment is returned. Coaches must coach the entire season to receive the money back. Registration Deadline: October 13, 2008.
